THERE IS SOMETHING MAGICAL ABOUT FABRICS MADE ON A LOOM
It is a slow, thoughtful process. Ideas and inspiration are woven into creating the finished cloth. The threads on the looms resonate with color harmonies as they tell a story drawn from the Oregon Coast.

Free-motion quilting allows the artist to use stitches to draw on the cloth. Without a template or guide, but drawing upon memories of being by the beach, designs are stitched into the cloth. The motifs developed suggest the waves and rhythms of the beach. The stitching is yet another way to tell a story in the handwoven cloth.
